Smriti Irani on Rahul Gandhi: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi fiercely attacked the Center during the discussion on the motion of thanks to the President’s address in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday (February 7). This question arose in my mind. He (Rahul Gandhi) started his speech with the words that he opposes the President’s address.
Smriti Irani said that as the MP of Amethi, I want to congratulate my Prime Minister. Those who were expelled from Amethi took a jibe at Pradhan Sevak. Today here a gentleman took a dig at the PM. There should be no distinction between one’s own and another’s in the protection of the nation.
Rahul Gandhi said that from Tamil Nadu, Kerala to Himachal Pradesh, we are hearing the name of ‘Adani’ everywhere. There is only ‘Adani’, ‘Adani’, ‘Adani’ in the whole country… Adani ji never fails in any business. Rahul Gandhi asked what is Adani’s relation with the Prime Minister. The Congress MP said that during the visit, people asked me how Adani’s net worth increased from $8 billion to $140 billion between 2014 and 2022.
The Congress leader said that after the BJP came to power in 2014, Adani moved from 600th to the second rank in the list of the rich. The real magic started after PM Modi left for Delhi. He also alleged that the rules were changed so that the Adani group could get contracts for six airports.
